The Filipino Worker
Rappler has recently published an infographic that gives us a peek into the state of Filipino workers, as shown below.
Some of the most interesting facts shown are that 71% of employed workers are men, which suggests most women who are eligible to work probably just stay at home.
Interestingly, women earn a slightly higher average daily wage at P323.53 compared to men who earn an average of P313.42. We think that more men work at minimum salary, which caused the daily average for them to be slightly lower.
Lastly, among the Overseas Filipino Workers, most of them work in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia and in the United Arab Emirates.
